Jin Shin Jyutsu
The Benefits of Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu means the art of knowing thyself. It is an ancient healing art similar to acupressure from China, but it is from Japan. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a healing art that is based upon our own natural, innate ability to harmonize ourselves. Related to the meridians, there are 26 safety potent energy locks that when light-medium pressure is applied it also releases endorphins (similar to acupressure), “feel good hormones,” that release stress and overall tension in the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual body.
The 26 distinct safety energy locks on both sides of the body act a circuit breakers to protect the body when the chi or life force energy is blocked. By applying light-medium pressure on 26 potent safety energy locks, these act as jumper cables to the body. By jumper cabling the body with our hands, we can harmonize the body’s innate healing abilities and wisdom. We all have the capacity to heal ourselves when given the appropriate conditions.
Jin Shin Jyutsu can be done on oneself as self-care or received by a practitioner. For maximum benefits, it’s best to receive from a practitioner. As a session, one feels deeply revitalized, joyful, relaxed, and energized. Jin Shin Jyutsu can help relieve the following imbalances: insomnia, indigestion, anxiety, stress, overall tension, grief, asthma, diarrhea, constipation, and more. Both Acupressure and Jin Shin Jyutsu are not band aid treatments and truly aim to get to the root cause of the healing challenge. Jaynie recommends at least 3-10 sessions depending on what healing challenge is being addressed. Ideally, receiving at least 1-2 times a month for optimal results to prevent illness and to maintain vibrant health.
