Jaynie’s Story

I am passionate about helping people transform their health by changing their health habits.  Our health habits are a blueprint of our well being. I guide people through a life-changing healing process through Ayurveda and Yoga to alter their health habits in order to grow into the healthiest version of themselves.  I am excited about this because the health and wellness tools I teach literally saved my life, and I am now living a happy, healthy and abundant life. However, my life was not always this balanced. In the past, I suffered from anxiety, panic attacks and high stress.

My immune system was so taxed that I began to have adrenal fatigue, dizzy spells, ringing in my ears, insomnia, heart palpitations, and even shortness of breath due to anxiety. I felt helpless, alone, burned out, depressed, numb and utterly exhausted. I would ask myself, “What’s wrong with you, Jaynie? Why can’t you just be normal and keep it together like everyone else?” I knew there was more to life, but I started to isolate myself because I felt ashamed about the anxiety I was experiencing.  I began to feel more and more alone. I was also suffering from trauma, but I didn’t have words to express what it was at that time.

At the time, I was busy with my teaching career and originally, I went into this career because I had a big vision of changing the world through education one student at a time. I noticed my optimism and desire to make a change start to wane because I was so busy managing my anxiety levels.

The anxiety got so bad that I began taking anti-anxiety medication. I was so frustrated because when I talked to the doctor, they pushed medication and never even asked me about my lifestyle. I left the visits feeling even more disconnected and alone. While I was taking the medication, I noticed the anxiety begin to diminish, but I began to feel even more numb and completely out of touch with my body and emotions.

I also noticed I didn’t have to change my lifestyle habits and was able to keep up with my fast pace lifestyle and numbing behaviors , which were depleting my immune system. I didn’t have to slow down and deal with the root cause of what was happening in my life. The medication made me numb and out of touch with my life.  Even though my anxiety symptoms subsided, I didn’t like feeling numb and detached from what was happening in my life. Later on, I weaned myself off the medication because I knew there was a better way to heal.

Jaynie’s Healing Journey

Over time, I discovered a plethora of healing modalities that helped me on my healing journey. The following modalities were the most impactful: Ayurveda, which literally means the “science of life”, yoga,  acupressure and Jin Shin Jyutsu. After receiving many healing treatments, the anxiety not only released, but I felt re-connected to my mind, body and spirit again and experienced a heart opening that I never knew was possible before. The benefits stayed with me and assisted me in getting off of the medication. I started to feel alive again and had a renewed excitement for my life!

I took a year off and traveled throughout Asia to focus on healing. During my travels in SE Asia and India in particular, I discovered an array of holistic healing modalities and mindfulness practices, including yoga and meditation that were helping me heal. What lit me up about Ayurveda is that it gets to the root cause of a health challenge.  I was so grateful to discover a treatment that was not a band aid treatment!

Later on in India, I started working with an ayurvedic doctor and did a panchakarma ayurvedic cleanse, which consisted of herbal treatments, bodywork, eating a plant-based food diet, doing regular yoga, meditation and other lifestyle changes, which helped me get back into balance. I had such a huge breakthrough with Ayurveda and yoga that I decided to study them formally.

Because I was so inspired by the healing benefits that I got from these healing modalities, I decided to get trained in them. I now have a private healing practice serving the needs of people who are suffering from stress and anxiety find relief naturally without medication. I have been in practice for over 10 years. I have been helping an abundance of my clients transform their health naturally, release anxiety and re-ignite their passion for life again, so that they can fulfill their potential. My clients walk away feeling energized and passionate about life again. If you would like to reduce your anxiety and access your innate healing potential in order to activate your purpose, I would love to help you. Additionally, I help my clients feel radiant, youthful and sexy from the inside out through the ancient healing practices of Ayurveda and Yoga.
